What happens when a chick leaves its nest? The play describes the transition of childhood to the first stage of adulthood outside the protective family nest. Young people between the ages of 25 and 30 who think about their future in a complex world with lots of uncertain perspectives. A literal nest is the ideal play and interpretation space for this production: a poetic space that evokes metaphors. Extraordinary small human tragedies are viewed with humour, poetry and hope.

Within a century, our life expectancy has increased by 30 years. But what does it mean to be old beyond organic brands? Seven actors between 60 and 80 take us on a journey through theatre and dance, poetic but without language, and designed for the street. An expedition that explores our perception of age, fears and the treasures hidden within. A theatrical and choreographic fresco that focuses on ageing.

The young people have already left the nest and venture into life and into the city. They have spread their wings and want to go far away. They have a deep inner urge and want to find their place in the world. The wind is blowing strongly and they have to decide which way they want to go. Should they wait until the storm subsides, or should they risk taking off? "Flying Birds" is a dance and theatre production for audiences of all ages. It shows the first steps of young people out into the wide world.

The Brunette Bros. present an odd, quirk & comical puppet theatre show, in their old traveling theatre truck. A fairground surrounding the six meters high veteran truck and the worlds 2nd smallest circus, with more than 50 phenomenal artists, unfolds as jack in a box. From here, a bunch of bozos reveals the downside of the old circus dream and a world of abandoned toys, employed by the Brunette Bros. The Bozos, in their freewheeling, clumsy & clown-lucky way, serves the everyday life in the circus and the audience is cornered with a slapstick suspense and laughter-cramps and the burned-out old clown shows his brand new teeth.

Gino is a middle-aged man who doesn't have much to lose because he never took big risks in his life. Now he blows the dust of old dreams that he kept hidden for far too long. He begins to wonder about the other lives that would have been possible. Ghosts from the past appear. And also strange-unusual disguises, corny songs and touching dances take over their roles in this strange fable about an eccentric guy in his loneliness. The "Ginodrama" is the tragicomic story of a lonely puppet for people aged 12 and over.

Through the body, acrobatics of risk, unfinished puppets, objects, surrealism and a disturbing game of lights and shadows directed with a luminophone, two circus artists tell a story based on real events: a trip to an unknown cave full of acid humor and beautiful and sinister images that strike directly the unconsciousness of the viewer. Immersed in the darkness, silence and in a disturbing sense of delirium, the cave becomes a temple, a theater, a garage, a screen, a mirror in the mirror. A space where the protagonists blur the borders of what they are to be generously given to the public, in another simulation of their existence.

A man and a woman process the last centuries / years / and present of human evolution. They enthusiastically explore the intricate paths of communication and relationship, going through six symbolic phases: #homo primaris: pure and brutal #homo genuinis: the discovery of social codes #homo capitalis: Private property appears #homo smartphonis: Technology available to all #homo selfis: the phone in all its glory #homo superlatif: the search for the extraordinary The third person, the cosmic technician, enjoys the situation: manipulating light and music at the same time, not forgetting the other characters to whom he entrusts precious gifts, leading to permanent change. In times when fences are not torn down but pulled up again and mainly old white men, whose future has expired without batting an eyelid, decide that the planet is going to the dogs, in favour of capital and mechanisms that have long since passed their best days, it is not difficult to find strong allegories for their swan song. We are at war. At war against ourselves. Cie. Dyptik goes even further and asks us how to break out of such a broken society, although we are part of it. Six dancers experience the liberation of the spirit through movement. Together in a group, units become stronger, boundaries can shift and relationships can be made to dance.

"In Perhappiness", a thermology composed by a Brazilian Poet Paulo Leminski, is an hybrid circus show, in which the border between performative circus and graphic arts expose an absurd aspiration to the ‘happy-life’. It is not really philosophical though an invitation through a journey. “Are you happy?” Happy artists, happy music: a gloomy world. Nobody knows if there will be a happy ending, but we can guarantee a happy start! „You dream about the world – PERHAPPINESS CAN GET YOU THERE!” Powerful bodies, smooth electronic music, black-on-white cartooned paintings on cardboard and an aesthetics that leaves no room for Déjà-Vus, a dazzling atmosphere and a contradiction in itself! “Ladies and gentlemen, happy moments will come soon”

Three women on the ground. Digging up a world that brings them together, they turn and fall on themselves. On a dry ground 3 women stage their birth, their life, their death. They work on making the land that surrounds them fertile. Root woman, tubercle woman or woman with flowers, they dig, bury, dig out their words, their voices, their desires, their fears. This earth, which blinds them, is consumed, breathed in and encounters unimagined annoyances. Memento is structured like a cycle of madness in which life and death are arranged in such a way that a better life is conceivable. Because life has not yet said its last word!

INCIDENT can best be described as a celebration of collision through an informal contrast ritual. It is a visual and tonal journey with strong, suggestive images accompanied by explosive experimental music. The performers use various circus techniques such as trapeze, acrobatics, contortion and fakirism. The group Ne a Ne originally came together as One Night Wonder at the last JETLAG Festival at the ADM in Amsterdam in 2018. The show was so frenetically celebrated that it quickly became clear that it had to go on. The performance is experimental. It combines music, movement and circus with a good portion of poetry, irony and dynamite.

"Vu" is a solo piece for a manipulator of everyday objects. And it is a highly meticulous character. Delicate and in many respects exaggerated at the same time. The piece oscillates between object theatre, miniature circus and an involuntary clown existence. In contrast to the hyperactive, he certainly deals with things that are sometimes ridiculous and harmless, but always indispensable to his feelings, in a way that couldn't be more conscientious and sincere. He is there. Quiet. Very calm. Very very calm. But the story derails - and it is precisely this moment that interests us: gruesome truths and poorly placed voyeurism. The wordless show tells of the little obsessions of everyday life. Those obsessions that sometimes become unhealthy and that, through exaggerated attention to detail, overflow the pot at the end.

Since 2015 Cointreau on Ice have been hijacking clubs and festivals. Their performances, experimental drag shows, are cathartic rap chaos, dance, political speech and lip sync in collage-like sequence! The group was founded out of the need to collectively develop experimental performances. Queer realities of life, which for the performers are subversion and self-empowerment gesture in one, are shown and thus permanently heteronormative notions of gender roles are questioned. Cointreau on Ice is a group of fucked-up queers who love to fuck. They embody a disturbance that opens up new spaces for identification!

Burning oil, dusty tyres, sharp knives and hot love. Be Fioul is a quirky burlesque street show inspired by life on Route 66 and the movies about it. Without words, the group Agonie du Palmier tells of the unbearable waiting at a deserted gas station. After hours in air shimmering with heat, three expressionist characters come together to create a splendidly bizarre piece of street theatre, full of black humour and tragicomic scenes: Bobby, the possessed playboy who tries to refuel his canister. Nikita, illiterate, rolling her skeleton tyre. And Paloma, the girl with the beautiful smile who is plotting the most stupid plans to end her life. The boredom burrows in her intestines and the three become heroes and victims at the same time.

After destroying the earth, we are now feverishly trying to find new habitable planets... The interstellar journey of the ZH Spacelines ends with an accident: The crew survives, but finds themselves trapped on an uninhabitable planet. And even in inhospitability there would be all sorts of possibilities: for example, it could be excellently started with the capacities of our mental universes However, a power war begins and the break pilots have to face their earthly stigmata in space as well. Isolation, hope and the lack of community and cohesion are the central pivots of the piece, which is based on a text by Josef Čapek . Science fiction, visual poetry, music composed to the point, lighting design, set design and the game itself create a uniquely intense atmosphere.

How did I become who I am, who are the others and how can this be connected? Four artists from different disciplines come together to tell stories. Starting from personal memories, family stories and dreams, they illuminate moments that are common to all of us, but also moments that isolate us. Puppet and object theatre, movement and narrative are accompanied and interrupted by music and brought together by song. A theatrical evening that takes up time and space, connects the big bang and black holes of personal and collective stories and encounters the present. Groupe Nous founded the audiogenic theatre in their first two works: A theatrical form that is defined by the fact that the audience does not see anything - in other words, absorbs all stimuli through the sense of hearing and is introduced to the content through various meditation motifs. Since 2013, Groupe Nous has dedicated itself to the interplay of text and sound as a perfomatic act in black space. Their latest production addresses the issue of fear. Fear as a driving force, an inhibiting force, a political instrument or a social phenomenon. Inevitably, fear is part of life. We may not be aware of it all the time. Nevertheless, it is always present and can break out at any time. We repress it, anaesthetise it, overplay it and deny it. But what happens when we consciously face it? How does it taste? What does it look like? Is it audible? Let's find out!

A musician, a dancer, a common room. "Shape of moving waves" lives through an interactive sound carpet that brings space, movement and electronic music into dialogue with each other. Based on the physics of sound and its propagation in the air, dancer and choreographer Enrico Paglialunga develops the relationship between music, space and movement. With "Shape of moving waves" the music project of composer Giacomo Matt is brought to life. It was inspired by several experiments carried out in recent months with Electronic Bio-Arts: "The eyes can see what the ears can hear". After the performance, the audience is invited to a small interactive game on stage.

John Moran's theatre uses everything as musical material: every small or seemingly trivial gesture, every tone and every word is treated as music. In "Everyone" Moran reaches a new level with the recording of three dancers. The material comes from the dancers, two live musicians and their complex and varied interaction with the recorded sound. The movements of the dancers are precisely placed in the recordings. Breathtaking fluidity transforms the dancers into many sequences that embrace the time span of entire lifelines. Their movements are articulated and arranged so that they always match the timing of the backing track. As we watch the dancers repeat their sequences and loops and exchange them with each other, new meanings emerge from the interplay of the various material sequences, which are rearranged and presented, each proposing a new beginning. In John Cage's words: "Every action is virgin. Even the repeated action." In fact, the loops of this dazzling and complex score drive the story of the greatest loop of all: the cycle from birth to death - the loop that we all have within us, that makes us all equal.

Else is arrogant. And stiff with a pointed "s". She is high class. And with her inimitable eccentric violence she surprises not only us. But also Strosetzky. With whom she shares her living room, everyday life, habits, routines and life. The famous science fiction radio play "Moon Night" by Stanislaw Lem is brought to the stage with analog and digital means as an audio theatre. We experience the last moon night of a space crew. At first everything runs smoothly: the cosmonauts work concentrated. Communication with the on-board computer is also effortless. Up to the moment when a drop in pressure interrupts the oxygen supply and a life-threatening situation arises. The moon is a silent observer, while the atmosphere in the space station becomes increasingly cramped and an increasingly devastating game of mistrust unfolds. The ADAPTER collective permanently transforms plastics: Literature is transformed into music. Music is translated into images. Pictures are transferred to theatre. Theatre finally transforms emotions. This is where stories are told, audiences enchanted and journeys begun.

What is a good life? A populism that has grown noticeably in recent years has led us to ask this question again. What is this idea of a good life that has to be defended against whomever? Whether against the Islamisation of the West, against refugees, against Trump or AFD voters... Kuithan and Ullrich have been collecting detailed life stories through personal conversations in public spaces for three years now. On this occasion they have been looking for encounters at garden fences around Lärz and the Mecklenburg lake district, at indoor camping spots, in museums and other places. A wide variety of individual ideas and life events form individual pieces of the puzzle. Supplemented by influences of high and pop culture, an image of our society is created.

Laura Murphy permanently challenges all genres. The queer performer from Bristol tirelessly performs text-driven and dynamic bodywork on events, situations and themes that urgently need to be discussed. "Contra" is logically a solo cabaret of contrasts: violent, witty, uncompromising. The production asks about the personal, social and historical preoccupation with the female body. It literally examines the positioning of female corporeality and how it should be viewed. Air acrobatics embedded in nudity encounters explicit references to mythical reptiles and female sexuality.

Each of us has one, two, ten thousand faces, which we show every day to our colleagues, family, friends and sometimes to ourselves. Clearly, we look at ourselves in the mirror and see one of these faces. But is it really our own? This is one of the most crucial questions for stage artists. What actually happens when the stage is the only place where we can be ourselves? Very simple: let them take off their costumes, wipe off their make-up and welcome you to their world!

RELY portrays three people in search of a foothold. They move in a system that seems to break away more and more, in which constellations shift every second, in which it is no longer possible to rely on what is supposed to be safe. Strong personalities bounce off each other and against each other, circle around each other, search for each other. The three struggle for recognition and closeness - sometimes humorous, sometimes relentlessly serious. In RELY, Lotte Mueller brings an acrobat, a contemporary dancer and an actor with their different artistic languages into the field of tension of an unstable set design consisting of 4000 golf balls.

Multiverse began as a nerdy record collection, sorted by colour: all colours of the rainbow could be found in it, it was especially colourful in the sections House and Punk. This colour palette was not only used to find a soundtrack, but also to make analyses of everything that "turns". Or more precisely: about everything that keeps spinning. A record is pressed, then gets a groove, followed by a needle - the construction of several record players playing simultaneously can be regarded as a mechanism - the individual record in it as a gear wheel in the transmission. Just as the gears of a changing machine rotate, the question arises as to whether everything can be controlled here or whether in the end we only watch coincidences. "Multiverse" is a kinaesthetic experience with objects in relation to the body. It is a multi functional DJ set.

This is the story of a lousy captain who spent his whole life planning sea routes and calculating new courses to open up new worlds, somewhere far out, behind the horizon. For at some point he had had enough of always being in the one world where people were unhappy and sluggish and yet failed to make a difference in their lives. And this lousy captain had a single small boat that was just big enough to carry him himself. With a small sail whose movements and fine motor skills he knew inside out. And wherever he was, he often stood at the railing, lit his pipe and sang his song.

As we ask ourselves, what is the genre of this desert group? Is it artistry? Parcour? Or dance? Should we ask about the story being told? Is it a love story? Or rather a declaration of war? It is certainly a building block system as an allegory for urban life: twenty oversized blocks are built into infinite variations of forms for the performers who play on them, move with them, build or tear down buildings like thoughts. Often both at the same time. "Block" tells of the contradictions and challenges of urban life. And of the fact that it is sometimes good not to commit oneself. On no genre, on no subject.

While the freighters with their loads of things and humans are challenged by the ocean, mirages, storms and whales agitate some dudes in the harbour. Waiting to set sail, their thoughts are pierced by dreams and nightmares as by harpoons, transforming them into jumps, tricks and dangerous games to deceive time. Laerte pays homage to the ocean, to its majestic waves that decide which destiny to rake. Laerte is a show that challenges the ordinary mechanism of creation and production of a circus piece. The show has been created directly on stage and advances together with its spectators, in-side its space, towards its utopically final form. The distance to this result gets endlessly smaller as they advance, but will never disappear, in the same marvellous way as there will always be another last sock that fits into a suitcase.

Oscar Wilde knew it long before our lives became as hectic as they often are now: "To do nothing at all is the most difficult thing in the world, the most difficult and the most intellectual" Your days are full of all kinds of tasks, which do not tolerate any delay. You rush from appointment to appointment. You have to check your phone much more often than every hour. If you are aware of these things, then you already know that nothing is easier said than done. How hard is it to do nothing? Do we not always do something? Can we do nothing at all? Before we have time to do nothing, we always have something to do. Doing nothing is hard work! And when we let go a bit and twiddle our thumbs a little, our bad conscience often keeps us from relaxing. Laziness can be learned! Let us discover and free our talent for doing nothing. Turtles should decide our pace for a while! Let us keep it to Winnie the Pooh, the smartest teddy bear ever: "Don’t underestimate the value of Doing Nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can’t hear, and not bothering".

Race Horse Company's contemporary circus show Urbotek explores life and survival in an alternative shadow world of the modern society. In the midst of dark urban surroundings, mouse-traps and plastic waste, the characters search for fulfillment in the most extreme ways. As we are burdened with a constant stream of social media, the dystopian worldview of Urbotek seems brutally timely. Urbotek builds hypnotic scenes through acrobatics and repetition, combining suspense, continuous movement and virtuosity. The original music and lighting design create a multilayered pulse of the City as the artists excel in their physical raw approach to acrobatics on teeterboard, Cyr-wheel and Washington-trapeze.

With their first show "Random" the two artists try to fathom the big risk lines, expose them with cruel sincerity and advance situations that are both extreme and ordinary at the same time. They love to explore total absurdity and eccentricity in their most organic forms. And they tell a not entirely credible story about their lives and about the theatre. As artists, the two are characterized by the freedom they enjoy on stage. They are risk lovers and push their theatre explorations to the limit. This show combines reality and fiction. Joel Marti and Pablo Molina deconstruct both their roles and the expectations of the audience.

And then there are the holes. You know, two months from now, and then there comes again such a hole. But holes must not be made under any circumstances. Otherwise the health insurance calls you to tell you we have a hole here! What is that? Just do not quit before the next employment contract is sorted! Otherwise there could be a hole and who knows how big and deep the hole will be. And that is why we just dig the holes here into the ground and put ourselves deep into it and look up at the sky. Before the hole comes to you, you come to the hole. You just dig it yourself and put yourself in it. That is pretty good.

Lord Edgar, rich widower and hobby Egyptologist, lives together with his quirky employees Jane and Nicodemus on his gloomy manor house Mandacrest. Soon the disaster takes its course because the curse of the past weighs heavily on Mandacrest. Lord Edgar travels to the pyramids of Giza to solve the riddle of "Irma Vep". In this shrill persiflage on Hitchcock classics, two actors play all eight roles with over 35 costume changes. Rapid scene changes ensure a breathless pace, while slap stick elements alternate with pathetic monologues and screw ball diaologists. People are obsessed with ideas - but also with things. She She Pop follows the idea of ownership, which has become an eerily important subject in people’s coexistence: if you have nothing, you have to hire yourself out. But even those who own too much, so people say, become obsessed by it. There it is: the community of the possessed. She She Pop steps forward to elicit a new meaning of “theatre without an audience”. As proposed in Brechtian Lehrstück theory, those on stage try different attitudes and give speeches. In the Possessed monologue, a polyphonic monologue can be heard, whereby the community has its say. A community that is concerned about ownership and the resulting distortions. In speech, it confirms itself, yet establishes that it is at odds with itself.

As you may know, you can buy anything at the grasshopper shop. The day this story happened, a shy little mouse entered the shop and impulsively asked if she could buy an adventure, preferably one with a good ending. The grin on the grasshopper's face grew wider and wider as she heard the mouse wish. Today is probably a good day to joke at other people's expense' she thought. "Come on, you little big-ear, I have exactly what you are looking for," she said to the mouse and lured her to herself: "Here - right behind this door...". And our mouse sets off on a creepy and very challenging adventure. Will she be able to kill the dragon? Will she even survive the day and be able to drink a cup of tea with the grasshopper at its end? Mmmmhmmm, a very clear one: maybe. It probably depends on that. The end of all stories is ultimately written in the stars. And no one can say how they will really end!

"Cow Love" is an absurd show, joining high fashion of sports, the sour taste of milk, songs that never will be a huge hit, plastic flowers and caprice of love. It is an unusual show that combines dance, circus and comedy. With the universal language of laughter, the audience is taken on a wild journey that captivates people of all ages. A child's play with ill-making schizophrenia, the burning side of our finest obsessions: "chronic stupidity, the pleasure of imperfection".

"Gregarious" is about the hidden side of sport. It is not epic or heroic beyond measure, but honest, sweaty and playful. The performance is a modest acrobatic powerhouse of show, which thematizes the contrast between sociability and individuality. People have many strange qualities. One of them is not to be able to decide between collective and individuality. Enthusiastic about this interpretation, the two acrobats explore their relationship to each other and their needs for sociability.

This visual poem opens up a whole new world. A world of metamorphosis in which nothing is what it looks like. And in which everything can change permanently. Found objects rescued from the rubbish or picked up along the way, worthless in themselves, change into actors of the narrated story before our very eyes. The players push an old cardboard box in front of a camera: a desert appears on the horizon. A rusty saw becomes a sea. Maple seeds turn into feather-light birds and working gloves into an endless mud landscape. The sun becomes the moon. And above all there is music. Music. Which takes us by the hand. Which draws us into the imaginary world. No text. Each viewer experiences his or her own story. This is theatre that functions as a charger for fantasy.

"Hullu apina" (Finnish: crazy monkey) is a dance-theatrical exploration of drugs and their influence on society. Their central thesis is that today's society functions as it does because most people consume drugs. They do it in different places, for different reasons, with different people, at different times, and they consume very different substances. But they all consume. This seems necessary to keep the world in balance. The play is a scenic concept album. On stage, a series of passages is created in which individual facets of today's consuming, selling, manufacturing and withdrawing society are zoomed into. With dance, text and sound, the staging on the one hand brings undreamt-of facts about psychoactive substances to light and on the other hand enables the audience to experience the subjective experience of drug use.

No matter what we do, the end of every day will come. This is sad certainty. Or consoling endurance slogan? Two performers dare to take a look at what might remain at the moment of farewell: what do we do with the time that we do not know how short it will be one day? Did we have a laugh before it all started all over again at 00:01? Why do we make this or that decision in favour of countless unlived alternatives? With pronounced physical play, a colourful, picture-rich aesthetics and blatant delight in simple humour TOBOSO is looking into the face of becoming and passing away without sentimentality.

The greyish feast (after Offenbach) Everything is served: The candles are burning on the long table, glasses and plates have found their place. The dedicated blow quartet sweetens the atmosphere with pleasant sounds. Only the food is missing. Something so annoying! The production money was probably no longer enough for that. If Chief Evening Breeze does not come up with something quickly, the opposing audience from the tribe of arch enemies will demand their entrance fee back. Or he has to throw his regular audience to the food of the competition. The Berlin music theatre collective tutti d*amore takes Jacques Offenbach's burlesque carneval at his word on the occasion of his 200th birthday and stages a true feast for the audience - and for himself. About the collective tutti d*amore is a music theatre collective that abducts the opera from its houses and mixes it with the people. It separates musical beauty and scenic playfulness from the art form believed to be dead, enriches them with spontaneity, bright colours and forms and transports them to unusual places in nomadic productions. tutti d*amore sees itself as a possible popular theatre that seeks the explosive and the political in the social space. This is why the members of tutti d*amore have consciously opted for a collective form of work. The mission is: Music. Theatre. For all.

In medieval theatre practice there was often no fixed stage, instead the play happened outside, on grass. The term "The Green" developed from this and is still familiar today with the term Green Room. The Green", Kalle Nios' solo performance, combines visual theatre and magic, illusion with video and sound installation. In the social media, "unboxing" has found more and more followers for some years now - people film themselves unpacking new products and thus documenting a new kind of shopping behaviour. Central themes in "The Green" are unboxing videos, consumer behaviour and hauntology. The production regards shopping and commerce as spiritual, magical rituals, shopping centres and internet shops as new temples. The play is visual theatre, combined with puppet theatre elements, video projection, visual arts and 19th century stage magic methods. Kalle Nio finds new ways to use magic and illusionary art as theatrical elements and is always looking for an answer to the question of what magic actually is. Are the suggestive light, the scent components used and the tonal interior design of modern shopping centres elements of new magic?

Crude oil is a basic substance of primeval organisms. Discovered by man, it turns into the opposite: synthetic chemistry, fuels. The play represents our feeling of separation between naturalness and man, between destruction and construction, fascination and disgust. Two shipwrecked people begin to explore and question their way of life. They are looking for a new beginning. Building and balancing, they bring the audience into an intimate and fragile world full of questions: How does responsibility combine with the need to live and laugh? Is a common balance possible?

In a world where animals and people coexist in everyday life, we approach some hippos who take the middle path. Are they people disguised and camouflaged in the animal they carry or hippos that who seek themselves within the individuals that put the body? Let us accompany these hippos on a physical journey that could be a fable, a metaphor, the preliminary reflection for a doctoral thesis on humanity and animality or, simply, a proposal for all audiences of which we can be part.
